Our First Adoption – Matching Through Facebook
Yes, that’s right! In 2022, we successfully matched with our son, Cam, through social media. Parenthood has been everything we hoped for and more! Cam has been a blessing and a joy to our family, truly a dream come true. Instead of connecting through an adoption agency, we had a private adoption– with lawyers and social worker involvement. If you missed how our journey started, it began with the video at the bottom of this page and a shared post on social media.
Now, Ready to Grow
Here we are a couple years later, reintroducing ourselves in hopes to adopt again. The new video above tells our adoption story: who we are and why we choose adoption. We hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome another child into our family, while also helping another family with an unexpected pregnancy by providing for and loving a child. We are ready and approved by the state of Virginia to adopt. This can also work outside of Virginia depending on the state, as our previous adoption was in Oklahoma. This page is a resource to get to know us better, for those looking to follow our journey and hopefully for someone who is looking to match with us for adoption.
If you are considering placing your baby for adoption, we hope you consider us as adoptive parents to welcome your little one in our lives. This is not a decision to be taken lightly by either party. We want you to know that we have fully committed to adoption to grow more (or we can hope!). We have a little note to you specifically on the site to express gratitude in your strength and vulnerability.
